Stampist (“Stampist,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) makes an iOS app that turns your photos into collectible die-cut stamps, organized into a collection, a diary, and scrapbook pages. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Stampist you agree to this policy. If you have any questions, email us at support@stampist.app.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to run the app:
- Account. Stampist uses Sign in with Apple. Apple gives us an anonymous account identifier and, if you allow it, your name and an email address (which may be Apple’s private relay address). We never receive your Apple password.
- Your photos and stamps. The photos you capture or import, and the stamps you make from them (including captions and dates), are stored on your device. Once you sign in, they sync to our servers so they’re backed up and available across your devices.
- Location (optional). If a photo carries GPS metadata, or if you grant location access, a stamp can record where it was made (coordinates and a place name) to place it on the map. Location is always optional and you can edit or remove it from any stamp.
- Subscription and purchases. Payments are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and purchase history so we can unlock the app — we never see or store your card or payment details.
- Usage analytics. We may collect anonymized, aggregated events about how the app is used (for example, that a stamp was created) to understand and improve the experience. These events are not used to identify you.
- Device and technical information. Basic details such as your app version, device model, and iOS version — for example when you contact support — to diagnose problems.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide the app: make, store, sync, and display your stamps.
- To process and manage your subscription.
- To respond to support requests.
- To maintain security and improve the app.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos to train machine-learning models.
Where Your Data Lives
Stampist is local-first. Your stamps are stored on your device and the app works offline — you can browse and make stamps with no connection. When you’re signed in and online, your content syncs to our backend, hosted on Supabase, where access is restricted to your account. There is no anonymous account: nothing is uploaded until you sign in.
Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted providers, each with its own privacy policy:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, payments, and push notifications.
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Analytics provider — anonymized usage analytics.
Data Retention
We keep your synced content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your account and its synced stamps from our servers. Stamps saved locally on your device remain on the device until you delete them or remove the app.
Your Rights and Choices
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and its synced data from within the app (Settings → Delete account).
- Control location. Location on stamps is optional and can be edited or removed at any time; you can also revoke location access in iOS Settings.
- Notifications. You can turn off notifications in iOS Settings.
- Access and questions. Contact us at support@stampist.app to request access to, or a copy of, your information.
Children’s Privacy
Stampist is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and row-level access controls that limit your content to your account. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
International Users
We operate in the United States and may process and store your information there or in other countries where our providers operate. By using Stampist, you consent to this transfer and processing.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be made clear in the app or on this page.
